“En un andén de la estación, bajo el sol abrasador…(On a platform of the station, Under the scorching sun)” thus began one of the songs that marked an entire generation in the distant 2000s. The opening song of Los Serrano was an anthem for millions of Spaniards who got hooked on the Telecinco series.

Starring Antonio Resines and Belén Rueda, this series told the story of two families that became one after Diego Serrano and Lucía Gómez remarried. Both with several children from their first marriage.

Along with Aquí no hay quien viva, Los Serrano was the most successful series of its decade and today remains a major influence in Spanish television. And we will say more, since the series was also very successful outside our borders.

Today, singer and actor Fran Perea, who played Marcos Serrano in the series, has surprised the world via Twitter by announcing that he is recording a new version of his hit: “Uno más uno son siete”, the intro of the series that we heard so many times.

It remains to be seen how it sounds, as it won’t be released until April 21, 2023 (next week), but we are expectant. We and half of Spain, to be honest. And for those who don’t remember, let’s go with the lyrics.

(In a platform of the station. Under the blazing sun. You spoke of a skyscraper. Sky in New York. Vente soon to see the sea. And sends you a postcard, I already knew that that day. Was the end. Now I have much more. Red, black, even or odd. Finally the fate brings an ace. And glass to watch. And a wall hanging. Seven smiling faces In a passport photograph. My stories did not speak of stories made by chance.)

¿Quién te volverá a mirar? ¿Quién impulsa las manijas de la casualidad?”

(Nobody told me that the destiny gave this opportunity. One plus one is seven, Who I was going to say, It was so easy to be happy. I have been here many years, How many I can be? What is the exact price of happiness? Who will remember me? Who you look again? Who handles drives of the accident)

(A caress of yesterday. Some postal unsigned. And one disc of Burning are not things that save. Today smile to remember, who fly with soñaras. From the banks of Madrid you can not see the sea. My stories did not speak of stories made by chance. Nobody told me that the destiny gave this opportunity. One plus one is seven, Who I was going to say, It was so easy to be happy.)
