The future of Google‘s electronic devices is just around the corner. A few days ago, Google announced that tomorrow, October 4th, their next big virtual event, the Google Pixel Event 2023, will take place. As the name suggests, this event is where we will finally see everything about the Google Pixel 8 and its Pro version.

Well, at least everything that is not known… which is currently quite little. In addition to suffering several leaks (practically one after another), Google itself has been gradually revealing more and more details about its next flagship smartphone, to the point where it almost only remains to confirm its price and release date.

What do we know about the upcoming Google Pixel 8 and 8 Pro? Well, to start, they will come with flat screens (not curved) of 6.2 and 6.7 inches, respectively, which will have a significant increase in brightness (up to 2,400 nits of brightness in the case of the Pro version). This will make the phone much more readable when direct sunlight reflects on the screen.

According to the leaks, the camera setup of the Pixel 8 Pro would consist of a main 50-megapixel camera, allowing 50 percent more light to pass through (improving photo exposure), along with a 64-megapixel Sony ultrawide camera. These cameras would be housed within a glass panel inside a raised metal bar that spans the entire width of the phone.

Additionally, if we consider the leaked information, the battery of the Google Pixel 8 Pro will be 5,000 mAh, with a maximum charging speed of 27W. It is also said to include a thermometer app (with its own sensor), and the price would be $699 for the regular version and $999 for the Pro version.

If you don’t want to miss the official announcement of Google’s upcoming smartphones, as well as the unveiling of other products in the Pixel lineup (such as the Google Pixel Watch 2), make sure not to miss the Google Pixel Event tomorrow, October 4th. You can watch the live stream on the Made by Google YouTube channel at 4 PM (Spanish peninsular time).
