Players are always looking for ways to keep a game fun and engaging – especially when replaying a beloved game. That’s why mods are so popular, as they give different ways to enjoy the game. There is a mod for Halo Infinite that does just that but also has users guessing the game – Halo Infinite or Fortnite No-Build?
A mod for Halo Infinite allows players to change the perspective from the traditional first person to an over-the-shoulder third-person view. Although it’s not a new development, a clip using this mod has circulated on Twitter. The clip is actually three months old and comes from Opulent Halo’s channel.
Despite a little bit of lag, this mod performs very well and gives users another perspective to play the game that was previously not available. However, while watching the clip, we couldn’t help but notice how similar certain areas look to Fortnite. While the over-the-shoulder perspective caused us to notice this, it isn’t only the perspective that is similar. The landscape of Halo Infinite, Zeta Halo, also looks similar to some wooded regions in the Fortnite map. It would also be possible to make a direct comparison as Master Chief from Halo’s skin was recently added to Fortnite.
There was a major controversy with the release of Halo Infinite, as many players and streamers were asking for a battle royale mode. Still, Halo developers 343 Industries refused to include such a mode. While a battle royal mode may still be a good option for developers, the third-person perspective might not. While it’s a fun mod to play around with, it would change too many core elements that the Halo franchise fans have come to love.
The second multiplayer season of Halo Infinite is on its way and will introduce the Lone Wolves theme. With it comes new maps, modes, and events. We look forward to seeing what’s in store for Halo Infinite and are curious if the developers will ever decide to add a battle royale mode. You can discover more about Halo Infinite here.
