Jonas Vingegaard just needs to stay on his bike in the remaining four stages, and he will undoubtedly secure a second yellow jersey, as the Danish rider holds a 7’35 advantage over Tadej Pogacar in the general classification. Wondering how to follow today’s race on Thursday? Here’s everything you need to know.

The reward for the fast men who survived the mountains is a mostly flat race from Moutiers to Bourg-en-Bresse. The leg pain and grim memories of the Alps will fade away with victory in the 18th stage of the Tour de France 2023.

Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Deceuninck) aims for his fifth victory in an extraordinary Tour, while Dylan Groenewegen (Jayco-AlUla) and Biniam Girmay (Intermarche-Circus-Wanty) also hope to contend for the stage win.

However, Wout van Aert (Jumbo-Visma) won’t be in the peloton sprint, as the Belgian rider has left the Tour to be with his pregnant wife ahead of Thursday’s stage.

Who is the favorite to win the Tour de France?

Vingegaard and Pogacar lead the Tour’s peloton, but four-time champion Chris Froome won’t compete as he was not selected by Israel Premier Tech.

Mark Cavendish (Astana Qazaqstan) was making history before his unfortunate withdrawal in the eighth stage. Our Spanish rider Carlos Rodríguez is no longer in contention.
