An Overwatch with superheroic touches. That’s how we could briefly define Marvel Rivals, the new game from NetEase that will be released in 2025. Although in its trailer (published last week) we were able to see some of Marvel’s most popular characters, it is possible that we will also have significant casualties.
The most die-hard fans of the House of Ideas couldn’t help but notice the characters that didn’t appear in the trailer. However, this could be simply because they will be added later, either as DLC or through a Battle Pass.
In addition, we are talking about quite important absences such as Captain America, one of Marvel’s most recognized heroes. There is also no trace of Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Ant-Man or Wasp, for example. As you can see, we are not talking about precisely unknown figures.
Will they be available at some point? Most likely yes, and they will probably want to charge you for it in the future. However, we still don’t have official confirmation of the initial roster that Marvel Rivals will have at the time of its release. What we do know are its PC requirements, already published on Steam and which you can check through this link.
