The southwest of Germany becomes the protagonist of the new City Update 06 for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Players will experience improvements in the state of Baden-Württemberg, the third largest state in the country both in terms of population and area.
On the occasion of this update, the development team chose seven cities to give them a little makeover. These are Mannheim, Heidelberg, Karlsruhe, Stuttgart, Esslingen, and Kehl in Germany. The French city of Strasbourg, located next to the border with Kehl, has also been improved.
By the way, the Baden-Württemberg airport has received visual improvements to provide accuracy. The developers have explained that the cities “have been recreated using the latest high-resolution aerial images and feature high-fidelity TIN (Triangulated Irregular Network) surface modeling.”
The City Update 06: Southwest Germany is available completely free for all players who already own a copy of Microsoft Flight Simulator. As of today, the game is available for Xbox Series X/S and PC, and is also included in Game Pass.
