In January, Microsoft announced plans to introduce GPT Copilots into their generative AI assistant Copilot. These were specialized AI chatbots created to accept questions about specific topics and tasks. Now it seems that some of these GPT Copilots are starting to become available to the general public. Here’s a guide to learn how to use Microsoft’s AI.

Jordi Ribas, Corporate Vice President of Microsoft and Head of Engineering and Product for Copilot and Bing, posted about the new availability of GPT Copilot on his Twitter account.

What are these new Copilots about

The four chatbots of Copilot ChatGPT are called Designer, Vacation Planner, Cooking Assistant, and Fitness Trainer, and they seem to explain themselves. Copilot users can click on one of the four Copilot GPTs and ask questions about those topics, and they should get more specific answers compared to the regular Copilot chatbot.

In the example shown in their Twitter post, Ribas showcases the GPT Copilot Fitness Trainer in action, as it provides a detailed answer to a question about how to properly cool down after a workout. Ribas states that these Copilot GPTs “leverage contextual instructions in the prompt and domain information as part of the base data (RAG)”.

Microsoft also announced in January that it plans to launch a new application called Copilot GPT Builder. It will allow those who subscribe to Copilot Pro (at $20 per month) to create their own Copilot GPTs. It is not known yet when this GPT application builder will be released.
