There is no doubt that Jenna Ortega is one of the hottest actresses. The star of Wednesday is currently filming Beetlejuice 2 with Tim Burton, while getting ready for the second season of Wednesday and finding time to premiere other projects like X or Scream. But her next movie is one that few expect and that can generate even more buzz than the rest.

In Miller’s Girl, Ortega plays a young woman whose relationship with her teacher crosses a line that should never be crossed… you know what I mean. And this teacher is played by none other than Martin Freeman, the lead actor in The Hobbit and also known for playing Watson in the famous series Sherlock. The trailer has just been released and it’s as dark as it seems:

Miller’s Girl’s trailer brings together the protagonists of Wednesday and The Hobbit in a somewhat controversial plot

What can we expect from Miller’s Girl?

In one of her sexiest roles to date, Jenna Ortega will play an 18-year-old girl whose relationship with her teacher reaches quite high levels. In fact, the premise of the film is only presented as “A creative writing assignment produces complex results between a teacher and his talented student“. But we can already see in the trailer that we will see much more than what seems to be evident.

Behind the film is director and screenwriter Jade Bartlett, and in the production by Lionsgate, notable names such as Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg appear. In fact, the cast is completed by Gideon Adlon, Bashir Salahuddin, Dagmara Domińczyk, and Christine Adams.

Miller’s Girl will premiere on January 26, 2024, so very soon we will be able to see more about what this exercise is about, which seems to mix plots as sinuous as Lolita or the recent The Whale. Either way, it is clear that it is a film that we will have to follow… even if it is for its enormous protagonists.
