Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin) is one of the most acclaimed anime series of all time, and since its first season aired in 2013, it has continued to gather a devoted following. Now, a decade later, we finally have the trailer for the epic conclusion of the series, which will arrive in what has been called Attack on Titan: The Final Season – The Final Chapters Special 2.

What we’re actually dealing with is Part 2 of Part 3 of the final season – yes, it’s a huge mess, but that’s why we have our guide – and it will mark the definitive end to the story envisioned by Hajime Isayama, resolving all the mysteries that the audience has about what truly lies behind the truth of this universe. But what will we actually see in the finale of Attack on Titan?

A very controversial ending

As we can see in the trailer, Mikasa, Levi, Reiner, and the other surviving main characters come together with the goal of stopping Eren from bringing about destruction. After witnessing the plot twist that made Eren’s intentions and his fate in the world clear, the warriors have one last chance to stop him… but it won’t be easy for them.

Those who have already read the manga know that the ending of Attack on Titan was highly controversial at the time. However, it also has a large following, so the debate is open. It is certainly an unconventional conclusion for a manga/anime, and it will surely divide fans.

Although it is expected to be released this year, the MAPPA studio has not yet revealed the exact premiere date for these final episodes. Initially, they are expected to air in the fall of this year: between October and December 2023. If all goes well, we will finally see the conclusion of Attack on Titan during that time.
