Tekken 8 still doesn’t have a release date, but we’re getting closer to knowing the complete roster of fighters before it becomes available in stores. Following numerous leaks of new characters, Bandai Namco has released two new trailers where we can get a glimpse of Azucena and Raven.
Prior to the official announcement, Bandai Namco Europe made the “mistake” of updating the game’s website with videos of these two characters. Despite spoiling the surprise, the company officially unveiled the videos of Azucena and Raven during the last day of EVO 2023.
While Azucena is a completely new character in the franchise, Raven is already a veteran within the Tekken universe. His first appearance was in the fifth numbered installment, and since then, he has become a beloved character in the community. His absence in Tekken 7 was widely criticized, but now he’s making a comeback in better shape than ever.
On the other hand, Azucena has been a pleasant surprise. Of Peruvian descent, Azucena Milagros Ortiz Castillo debuts as a new fighter in Tekken 8 and promises to be a tough opponent. She is introduced as “the Coffee Queen” and is a world champion in MMA. Here, Azucena showcases her skills in mixed martial arts.
