Zuckerberg vs. Musk: The Epic Showdown – “Tell me where and I’ll bust you”

There’s something as old as the planet itself: fighting with your enemy to solve problems. In truth, it doesn’t actually solve anything, but it’s true that it releases tensions and endorphins along the way. And that’s what Zuckerberg wants to do to Elon Musk.

How much would you pay to see two of the richest and most controversial men in the world fight inside a ring? Well, you better start thinking about it seriously because The Verge has just confirmed that Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk could soon engage in a fight.

But… how did we get to this point?

Well, like in most fights, it all started with a good talk. And as you may have guessed, Musk was the first one to initiate it.

Tensions between the CEO of Meta and the CEO of Twitter have been running high ever since Meta announced its plans to launch a clear rival to Twitter. The new platform, which is still in testing phase and currently internally referred to as Project 92 (though it may eventually be named “Threads”), has been seen as a direct threat to Twitter’s survival.

Meta’s top executives have been quite brazen about the fact that the app closely resembles Twitter, even calling it Meta’s “answer to Twitter.”

Clearly irked by all of this, Musk recently responded by doing what he does best: trolling. On Tuesday, in reference to Meta’s new app, Musk tweeted, “I’m sure Earth can’t wait to be exclusively under Zuck’s thumb with no other options.”

In response, a Twitter user jokingly said, “Better watch out, @elonmusk, I’ve heard he’s into jiu-jitsu now.” Referring to Meta’s CEO recent interest in martial arts (he’s even gotten more muscular).

To this, Musk delivered a typical Musk-like jab, saying, “I’m game for a cage match if he is.”

One would think that would be the end of it, but Zuckerberg later responded on Instagram, posting a screenshot of Musk’s tweet with a Jason Bourne-style caption attached: “send me the location.”

At this point, the natural response to this playful back-and-forth would be to consider it a lighthearted banter between corporate rivals. Just two rich guys having fun with each other, right?

But now, Zuckerberg’s communications team seems to be taking things a step further and has informed The Verge that, no, Zuck is actually willing to step into the ring with Elon or, at the very least, he has committed to saying so until Elon chickens out.

The Verge’s Deputy Editor, Alex Heath, says he has “confirmed that Zuckerberg’s post on his Instagram account is indeed not a joke, which means the ball is now in Musk’s court.” I would personally pay to see them fight, honestly.
