With April Fools’ Day, the entire English-speaking world is filled with jokes that rarely manage to work. Let’s not fool ourselves: corporations are not known for their sense of humor. However, that doesn’t mean that, from time to time, a company knows how to strike the right chords and get their audience genuinely excited about something, without making them believe they are working on something that doesn’t exist. Something that has happened, on this occasion, with Pocket Pair.

To celebrate April Fools’ Day, Pocket Pair shared a trailer announcing their new game Pal♡world! ~More Than Just Pals~ for April 1, 2025. A dating sim version of Palworld set in a high school, where we could have a steamy romance with our pals, or even with the sinister Dark Merchant. They also announced that it would come with an adult version for those with spicier interests.

All of this was, evidently, a joke. Many video game studios make the joke that they are going to make a dating game during these days, to the point that it has become a common occurrence. Something that raises more sighs than excitement. Except this time.

Fans have loved the idea of Pal♡world! ~More Than Just Pals~ and now they want it to become a reality, with Pocketpair not having said anything about whether they will even consider producing this game for real. But at least their fans won’t be left with nothing: the company recently announced that they will soon include their first raid. And while it’s not the same as dating your creatures, it’s still something, especially now that you can play for free.
