This Halloween, we’re going to have lots of series and movies to watch at home, surrounded by candles, pumpkins, sweets, and other spooky decorations. And on Disney+, they want to make sure our content doesn’t pile up.

For that reason, they have released today, on October 4th, the movie “Haunted Mansion” on their Disney+ service. The film is categorized as horror/fantasy and lasts a whopping 2 hours and 4 minutes.

The best thing about the film is its cast, featuring some of the best actors of the moment: Owen Wilson, Rosario Dawson, Danny DeVito, LaKeith Stanfield… truly a delight.

Synopsis of the Haunted Mansion and premiere

In this terrifyingly fun adventure inspired by the classic theme park attraction, a doctor and her nine-year-old son, looking to start a new life, move into a strangely affordable mansion in New Orleans, only to discover that the place is much more than they expected.

Desperate for help, they enlist a diverse group of supposed spiritual experts to assist them in ridding their home of supernatural occupants, including a priest, a widowed scientist turned failed paranormal expert, a French Quarter psychic, and a grumpy professor.

For those unaware, this movie is an adaptation of one of Disney’s most famous theme park attractions. Yes, it was the attraction first and then the 2003 movie starring Eddie Murphy.

The movie is now available for free on the Disney+ streaming service for all subscribers, along with the latest episode of Ahsoka, which also premiered worldwide today. By the way, here’s our review. Be careful if you don’t want to read spoilers.

Don’t waste any more time here and go watch the movie… or save it for Halloween night… the night of the living dead. Although I’m sure you won’t have the courage to watch it alone.
