Everyone is looking ahead to Saturday, May 6, 2023. It is not just any day. And it’s not because on the same Saturday we could have a League Champion. We are talking about something much more important: a coronation.

Queen Elizabeth II was at the head of the British Crown for a whopping 70 years and 214 days. For many, a lifetime.

In other words, Queen Elizabeth II spent a lifetime being queen. Which means that her son, now King Charles III, has had to wait some 40 years to accede to the crown.

The party to the rhythm of Spotify

For the coronation, the British Royal Family has published on Spotify what will be the playlist of the songs that will be played during the event.

Yes, what you are reading: you can play at home the great songs that will be played through the speakers of Buckingham Palace.

You have the list above, we have uploaded it so you can have it at home and listen to it from this same news. Or if you prefer we leave you the link to open it in the app on your smartphone on Saturday May 6.

The groups that will sound at the ceremony, obviously, are essentially English. And all of them very very famous. We have The Beatles, Coldplay, Queen, Harry Styles, Tom Jones and The Who. But be careful, there are also singers who are part of the English Commonwealth, such as Michael Bublé (Canadian).

The playlist is composed of 26 songs or, in other words, 1:45 hours. We understand that this playlist will be played before the ceremony, that is, before the coronation.

The whole world is watching what will happen on May 6 in the United Kingdom. For, by all accounts, a British coronation is not something you see every day. They even say it’s something that only happens like Halley’s Comet passing through our sky… every 75 years.
