Although the Russo Brothers will soon return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, before Avengers: Doomsday they have prepared a large-scale movie exclusively for Netflix. The Electric State, a science fiction feature film starring Millie Bobby Brown, Chris Pratt, and Ke Huy Quan, has had a staggering budget of 300 million dollars, the highest in Netflix’s history.

In the movie, we can see an alternative version of 1997, where Michelle (played by Brown), a runaway teenager, travels through a post-apocalyptic United States in search of her lost brother. Accompanied by her small toy robot, Skip, and the smuggler Keats (played by Pratt), Michelle ventures into a world devastated by a war between humans and animatronic robots.

The Electric State will be available on Netflix on March 14, 2025. Despite experiencing several development issues due to the pandemic and subsequent Hollywood strikes, the project will finally see the light at the beginning of next year.
