If you are a musical lover, you have to say goodbye to George Berger, and if you are more into teen series, you must bid farewell to Dr. Andrew Brown. Yes, the brilliant and always smiling Treat Williams has passed away today in a motorcycle accident at the age of 71.

The actor’s extensive career dates back to 1975 when he made his film debut in the thriller “Deadly Hero.” From there, he started accepting more film roles, including those in 1976’s “The Ritz” and “The Eagle Has Landed.”

In 1979, Williams reached the pinnacle of his career when he portrayed George Berger in the film “Hair,” based on the Broadway musical.

The role earned him his first nomination for the Golden Globe Award for New Star of the Year. Later, he received another Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor in a Drama for his role in “Prince of the City” (1981).

In 2002, he began portraying the lead role of Dr. Andrew “Andy” Brown in the teen series “Everwood.” He starred in all four seasons of the series and even received a nomination for the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series in 2003.

With over 120 films, series, and other works under his belt, Williams’ career spanned four decades with appearances in movies such as Steven Spielberg’s “1941” and television series like “Blue Bloods,” “The Late Shift,” “Chicago Fire,” and “Chesapeake Shores.”

According to the police, the cause of death was a motorcycle accident, as Williams was struck by a car. Initially, the driver of the vehicle did not see the motorcycle until it was too late. Rest in peace, Treat Williams, you will be missed.
