A unique film in Bong Joon-ho’s filmography

As described in Variety, in the movie Robert Pattinson plays a dozen versions of the same character, something that has not been seen before in Bong Joon-ho’s filmography but promises to be spectacular. The director has described the film as “the story of a simple man who ultimately ends up saving the world. It’s a strange kind of hero’s journey“.

According to the trailer description, Mickey 17 is set in a future where its protagonist is cloned for the difficult mission of colonizing another planet. Although no further details have been revealed, it is based on the novel Mickey 7 by Edward Ashton, but the director has decided to “kill the main character 10 times more“. Undoubtedly, the expectations couldn’t be higher.
