We love heist movies. In the best cases, they offer smart entertainment and keep you on the edge of your seat with witty humor. And the trailer for “Lift,” Kevin Hart’s new heist film, looks fantastic. If the movie is as good as it seems in the trailer, we’re in for a real treat.

The concept is more or less akin to the classic “Ocean’s Eleven” movies… but in the air, with director F. Gary Gray (known for “The Italian Job,” among others) at the helm steering the ship.

Synopsis of Lift, the new action film from Netflix

The plot revolves around a daring plan to stop a terrorist attack by stealing gold worth 500 million dollars.

There’s just one problem: the heist has to happen in the air because all the gold is on a plane flying at 40,000 feet. It’s a new Netflix movie that seems to have all the ingredients to be a surefire success, and we can’t wait for it to be available on the best streaming service.

Netflix has high hopes for “Lift,” which will be streaming starting from January 12, 2024. Kevin Hart is the main attraction here as Cyrus, the criminal mastermind at the heart of the heist, and he is accompanied by an impressive cast.

Here are: Vincent D’Onofrio as a master of disguise, Jean Reno as the terrorist mastermind, and Úrsula Corberó, whom you all remember from La Casa de Papel, Netflix’s best heist series.

Laughs, suspense, and lots of action. That’s exactly what we want from a movie like this, and judging by the trailer, it seems like it’s going to deliver.
