SpaceX, the aerospace manufacturing company founded by Elon Musk, has shared a video through X where we can see the Falcon 9 putting on a spectacle of colors in the sky.

The truth is that SpaceX has managed to attract a lot of attention within the aerospace sector thanks to the design of its rockets. The Falcon 9 is the first orbital rocket capable of reusing the first stage. It is also the launcher of the Crew Dragon, which can transport and carry crew.

Thanks to this system, the company led by Musk has managed to greatly reduce the costs of space travel. The images capture the SpaceX Crew-8 mission, launched on March 4th. Here, the rocket is not very visible, but instead it gives us some quite surreal images of the descent.

Michael Seeley, a well-known rocket enthusiast, offered an explanation of the phenomenon in X, created by the “exhaust gases from the rocket when SpaceX’s Falcon 9 first stage booster separates from the second stage and the Crew Dragon.”

In this commercial mission, the American astronauts Matthew Dominick, Michael Barrat, and Jeanette Epps, along with the Russian cosmonaut Alexander Grebenkin, traveled. The mission was successful and the crew was able to safely reach the space station upon landing.
