For all of us who spent part of our adolescence watching Futurama, the premiere of the new season is a highly anticipated event that we are eagerly looking forward to. For this simple reason, every piece of information we receive about this eleventh season is greeted with joy and excitement, especially when what we have is the first trailer for this new Futurama season.

During the nearly two-minute duration of this trailer, we are presented with the return of all the classic characters, complete with the original voice cast that the series had throughout its lifespan. In the footage, we can once again witness the love story between Fry and Leela, our beloved Bender, and much more. However, the trailer is also filled with criticism.

Throughout it, we can spot references to cryptocurrencies, cancel culture, streaming platforms, and even voice assistants like Alexa, which concludes the trailer itself.

Futurama premiered in 1999, created by Matt Groening, the mastermind behind The Simpsons, and David X. Cohen. In a short period of time, the animated series garnered millions of viewers worldwide, thanks to its sharp and direct satire, addressing sensitive topics with a high level of critique.

The show had an impressive run of ten seasons over the course of 14 years, almost averaging one season per year. When the final episode aired back in 2013, many of us believed it was the end of Futurama for good. However, to our delight, the production company announced its comeback a few months ago.

Now, we have to wait until July 27th to dive into the new 10-episode season and witness the latest adventures of our favorite Futurama characters.
