The world of video games has countless significant dates, but three stand out for their importance: E3, Tokyo Game Show, and Gamescom. Each one taking place on a different continent, historically E3 has always been the most significant expo, with Tokyo Game Show as the secondary event that focuses more on Japanese games. Now, with E3’s decline, it’s time for Gamescom to step up and potentially become the new major gaming event. Or maybe not. That remains to be seen.
