The Apocalypse has loomed over Xbox Series X/S users through a podcast… And, truth be told, it hasn’t been that bad in the end. They have hardly suffered. Microsoft has assured that it continues to bet on the brand, that the Game Pass stays at home and that -oh no!- four games that have already finished their Xbox cycle are going to be ported to other platforms. They have found the exact balance between the fans’ anger and winning back their audience with an approach that is both charitable and necessary. But one question remains in the general atmosphere: which four games will they be?

Games, games, dubidú, if you don’t play them, it’s up to you

Indeed, we have some ideas, since they will be next-generation games and, frankly, there aren’t that many exclusives. Probably one of them will be ‘Hi-Fi Rush’, which may have the love it has only garnered from a small portion of the audience on PS5. In fact, it’s likely that it hasn’t even made a profit to this day, so betting on it makes sense. Just like ‘Sea of Thieves’, which has been sailing on Microsoft consoles since 2018, gaining a small (but consistent) fan base and would contribute to expanding its community. We’ll see if a game from six years ago still interests next-gen users.

Of course, ‘Starfield’ is a possibility, but Xbox probably doesn’t want to burn this cartridge until they see if their (a bit desperate, it must be said) strategy works. We see smaller games like ‘Pentiment’ or ‘Grounded’ as more likely, as they are the ones that are currently being rumored the most. If things go well, it’s likely that ‘Halo’, ‘Gears of War’, or even ‘Indiana Jones’ will become multiplatform. That’s how it is. With such a large investment from Microsoft in obtaining exclusives -bordering on monopoly- they have to give in somewhere. There’s no other way.
