The Iron Man game being developed by EA Motive Studios is going strong. New details are coming to light and now we know that it will be much more than an action title: everything indicates that it will have an open world.
In addition, it has been EA itself who has indirectly confirmed it. According to the Portuguese website Geekinout, on EA’s job page there is a job offer to work as a senior technical artist on Iron Man and at the Montreal studio. In this offer, it is specifically stated that the game will be open world.
In the announcement, Motive Studios clarifies that they are “looking for a senior technical artist to help oversee the rendering aspects of an open-world AAA action and adventure title.” This is a much more specific description than what EA stated in September 2022, where they defined the project as “a single-player action and adventure video game” and “in third person.”
How big will this open world be? The truth is that we still don’t know anything about what Motive Studios has prepared for us with Iron Man. The community has come up with their own theories, which say that the game could be set in California. It wouldn’t be far-fetched, since the base of operations for the West Coast Avengers is located in San Francisco and Tony Stark lives in Malibu.
