If there’s one thing to acknowledge about Microsoft, it’s their effort to ensure that each person can have the perfect controller for them. Offering a variety of colors, shapes, and adaptability options, it was one of the first companies to pay special attention to creating all kinds of controllers. This dedication has led to one of their latest ideas seeming somewhat extravagant, even if it looks delicious.
Xbox has announced a new version of its controller, this time produced to celebrate an upcoming Warner Bros. movie. That movie is none other than “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” the classic by Roald Dahl, which gives us a clue about what this controller is made of. Not metal. Not aluminum. Not plastic. But chocolate.
This “Xbox of Chocolates,” as Xbox itself has named it, is a controller made entirely of chocolate. This means you can either eat it or display it on the shelf to admire until it melts, but you can’t actually play with it. And since it’s a promotion with Warner Bros. to promote “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” the controller comes wrapped in a beautiful golden package—a reference to the golden tickets needed to enter Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory.
If you want to get your hands on this Xbox of Chocolates, we’re afraid you’ll have to meet a few conditions. You’ll need to be over 18 years old and live in the United States. But if you meet those two conditions, all you have to do is retweet the tweet announcing the contest between November 13th and December 14th.
Moreover, the winner won’t just receive the controller. They’ll also get five other Xbox-themed chocolate truffles: Achievement Hunting, Button Masher, Your Citrus Sidekick, Xtra Kick, and Wonka for the Win. And that’s not all—every participant will also enter a drawing to win a replica of the Xbox Series X, which we understand is also entirely made of chocolate. So, if you’re lucky enough to be reading this from the US, don’t hesitate and treat yourself to some sweet indulgence courtesy of Xbox.
