When Yahoo announced in 2013 that it had been the victim of a cyber attack that compromised 1 billion Yahoo accounts, the world gasped at the insanely large number of people affected. This week, we learned from Yahoo that 1 billion accounts wasn’t the half of it; every single Yahoo account, all 3 billion of them, was compromised.

If you had a Yahoo email account, your account user information has been hacked – information including names, email addresses, passwords, birthdays, phone numbers and, in some cases, security questions.

If you took steps to protect yourself when the story first broke in 2013, good work! If you didn’t, now is the time to start changing passwords and security questions across all of your online accounts.
