Baldur’s Gate 3 has been hailed as one of the best releases of this year, if not the best according to many. The game developed by Larian has generated a lot of discussion due to its quality, but it has also not escaped jokes and memes. The reason? The excessive libido of some of its characters.

However, we regret to inform you that the reason for this sexual frenzy is not because you were irresistible, but rather that the standards of the other characters were quite low. Swen Vincke, the director of Baldur’s Gate 3, explained to The Gamer that the reason characters (especially Gale) were throwing themselves at players was due to a curious bug.

Specifically, the approval threshold for the characters was not set very high. This bug made them easily impressed and, therefore, more likely to get intimate with players. However, not all players saw this bug as a negative thing: “There were a lot of people who enjoyed it,” Vincke explained to The Gamer. “But it went too fast. It was supposed to simulate how real relationships are.”

Gale, one of the most “amorous” characters

One of the most “affected” characters has been Gale, a character who was practically “there instantly,” as Vincke puts it. In fact, numerous players reported that he continued to insist even after being rejected repeatedly. The best part of all this is that players have started sharing their tricks to avoid getting into a relationship with Gale. As a tip, here’s one of the pieces of advice: pretend you hate cats.
