The world of streaming is governed by the quality of the broadcasts. No one can succeed in such a crowded and demanding business without good video quality. HBO spent years paying for the absence of 4K and the low bit rate.

Well, YouTube TV users will have a new option of higher quality video for everything, from watching their favorite shows to watching a live game.

Google is implementing a new feature called 1080p Enhanced for YouTube TV subscribers and Primetime channels. The 1080p Enhanced feature improves the existing 1080p resolution to 60 frames per second with its enhanced bitrate.

What is this new YouTube quality about?

Google confirmed the update after a Reddit user posted it on the platform. The enhanced 1080p setting “offers our highest video quality,” as confirmed by Google itself.

Reddit users who already have access to this 1080p update report that the resolution is available for the same channels as 1080p60, such as Paramount and Syfy.

The 1080p Enhanced option also follows in the footsteps of YouTube Premium, which increased the video quality for subscribers of the company’s original platform.

In this case, any subscriber of YouTube TV and Primetime Channels with an updated streaming device compatible with 4K should have access to the option by accessing the video quality settings.

However, Google has discovered a bug that prevents users from manually selecting 1080p Enhanced. However, the company reports that the bug does not affect the image quality and they are working to fix the issue. Now is the time to check on our TVs how this new quality looks compared to the current one. Improvement is always good news.
