Update to my prior review.
Update to my prior review on Copilot GPS for Android:Well, the learning curve is still there I figured out a few of the more negative items. In 2D navigation mode it really doesn't follow your position(carrot/car). You have to force it to do so by pressing a button. It is a round dot with a concentric circle around it, similar to the My Position icon you may be familiar with in Android. The My Position icon is a teardrop shape with a circle around it. If you press this, it WILL start following your position as you travel. So I learned something but my prior comments are still valid. It should automatically follow you as you travel, and there is a learning curve.Additionally, I have found the location to upgrade. Get into Main Menu > hit the icon at the bottom that looks like a driver's license > (From here, I have to guess. My tablet is currently not connected to a hotspot) I remember hitting Features & Upgrades I think. Then you can select the purchase. At the time it was in the ballpark of $7.99. IMO, it is worth the cost. I'll upgrade mine when able, but I haven't yet added my CC info into my tablet. I kind of don't want that on that machine. I wonder if there is a way to purchase it from my desktop PC without adding CC info into the tablet? .
Pros:
same as my prior review
Cons:
2D still needs to automatically track pos. More

merely ok for free. better if buy full version. a bit of a learning curve.
Free. Well it is for awhile. I don't believe they made it obvious that it's on trial for several days. Or didn't mention it at all. During a LONG trip, (week long), the navigation got a red banner saying trial running out. Well that sucked. When it did run out, I was stuck in 2D overhead view and the 'camera' or 'focus' did not keep the carrot (my car) on the center of the screen. It's absolutely unusable in that condition. I do like the software and plan to unlock the full version by paying for it. Unfortunately, I haven't found the button that says "Yeah, I want to buy this. Let's do it." Still looking. Other than all the griping above, the actual 3D navigation is wonderful. It needs some form of better help system though. THere is a bit of a learning curve to it. For example, creating a custom nav route by points sounds easy but it is clumsy and isn't easy. Straight up "where is it. take me there." navigation works like a charm. I initially gave it 5 stars on my android device. I'm writing the review on a win7 desktop and would like to change to 3.5 or 4.0 stars. I think 4.0 but it needs a lot of work to get 5.0
Pros:
various options, offline mode
3D nav, voice, finding POI
Cons:
Better custom route building by points
in 2D mode, keep camera/focus on car 'carrot' More
