At this point, talking about ‘GTA V’ is like talking about episode IX of ‘Star Wars’: it’s something that happened, but we’re already looking at something else. However, there are still many things to know and analyze about how one of the biggest successes in the history of video games was created. For example, it is very interesting to analyze the reason why DLCs for the main campaign stopped appearing: the culprit was ‘GTA Online’.
Night Trevores
Steven Ogg, the voice actor of ‘GTA V’ who played Trevor Philips, has now stated that Rockstar was going to release a whole DLC based on his character, but seeing the success of the online version, they decided to throw it away and focus entirely on that. In fact, he said there was going to be extra content for Michael, Franklin, and Trevor.
In said DLC, Trevor was going to work for the feds, undercover, and even provided voiceover at the beginning of development, but nothing more was heard. Although he is understandably upset, he has one consolation: the future of ‘GTA Online’ is hanging by a thread with the future release of ‘GTA VI’, which will probably sweep everything away and relegate it to a secondary position at Rockstar. Let’s not mistake the saying: misery loves company, but only a few find consolation.
