WHAT'S THE MEANING?
Yify.tv and similar sites with the names: yts.com, yify.co, and others, are websites that offer torrent files of movies and series. The names are based on the sites' main creator, Yiftach Swery, who was involved in a case against movie studios for copyright infringement. The case, handled by a New Zealand court, was reported by Sunday Star Times.
DID YOU KNOW?

The number was based on the fact that the loss because of online piracy rose from just $6 billion in 2010 to $31 billion in 2017. In 2018 alone, Asia might see a total loss of $20 billion to illegal downloads. The research said that the United States will take the biggest hit in 2022, forecasting an $11.6 billion loss for Hollywood. China is expected to be second on the list with a potential loss of $9.8 billion.
