"Assetto Corsa is probably the classiest racing game I've ever played. The creators went to great lengths to recreate aerodynamic conditions while racing, and recreated with great attention to historical detail some old European tracks and racecourses. The game is stylish, immersive, realistic, and very fun. The only downside for me is it's not supported for Mac. "

"The foreign-sounding name is enough to tell you that it's a rad name because let's be honest. Foreign things are better than local. If it ain't foreign, it borin'. The variety of cars here isn't that much to brag about, but the cars that every enginehead grew up with is here, and that's what counts"

"The attention to detail in this game is amazing. From the physical representation of the cars, the handling, and the car specifications, this is a racing purist's dream. I would pick this game over many of the other racing simulations on the market. Be sure your computer can handle the graphics on this game so you can truly enjoy it. "

"I racing is a ton of fun for anyone looking for a great racing simulator. You can play with others or practice on your own"

Did you know that the first racing game in existence actually involved spaceships rather than cars? Back in 1973, Space Race was released, an arcade video game by Atari. The game places two players competing using their own respective spaceships. The opposing players start at the bottom, working their way to the top of the screen whilst simultaneously avoiding asteroids coming from the left. Points are then earned for every time a player reaches the top. A winner is determined by the number of points once the timer runs out.

Presently, a lot of racing games are now offered in plenty of gaming platforms, from handheld mobile devices to non-portable systems like a PC. The genre also offers multiplayer features, both online and offline, and can support at least 2 or more players. The setting of every game varies from modern vehicles to futuristic hovercars, all traveling through different terrains and racetracks. The Need for Speed franchise is among the most popular car racing games for PC and are also available for other devices. With new and innovative ideas for racing games couple with the ever-growing popularity of cars, it's safe to assume that the racing game genre won't be going away anytime soon.

"The Crew is one of the best racing games so far this generation. It's easy to forget you're playing a video game, the graphics look so real and convincing. The racing is more arcade based than simulation which is fine by me for this type of action oriented game. It's very fun."
    Pari Chavan

eamNG.drive is a realistic, immersive driving game offering near-limitless possibilities. Our soft-body physics engine simulates every component of a vehicle in real time, resulting in realistic, dynamic behavior. The driving feel is authentic and visceral, and crashes are realistic and violent; yet the physics are accessible enough to drive with a keyboard or gamepad while still being authentic with a full racing wheel with uncompromising realism.

    Barbara Fields
    Written on September 5, 2018

    Juan Santos
    Written on November 14, 2017
"An okay solution for the topic. The topic is asking for a racing game whereas BeamNG.drive is more of a driving simulation game. Also the game is in early access and does not have all of it features yet."

I was cautious at first and didn't do well against the other cars. Then I decided to just go for it and started racing without fear. I was thrilled. I took that turns with speed without crashing and went full out on the straight ways. Definitely a fun way to drive with abandon and just have fun."

    Ronald Valdez
    Written on October 30, 2017
"Redout is a racing game made by 34BigThings, an independent company based in Italy. The game is actually a futuristic anti-gravity racing game -- like the F-Zero or Wipeout series --, which means you play as a pilot of a very, very fast racing car/ship. It's genuinely one of the best racing games I have ever played, and while I was seriously surprised by the quality of it all, I'm also sad it didn't get much attention and player numbers never climbed very much."

The developers of this game strive to create a game that is hyper-realistic in terms of graphics as well as dynamic and everchanging weather that actually interacts with the car. The raindrops hit the windshield and the wipers wipe it off. It's truly amazing what technology has created for us in the gaming world."

It acts as a social network as well so you can play with others. The screen splits so you can see what is going on. I like that it's so realistic, you feel like you're actually driving through these environments. The game offers power ups as you move through the game and challenging objectives throughout. "
