The new proposal from Thunder Lotus Games, creators of Jotun, Sundered, and Spiritfarer, is a cooperative action roguelike for 33 players. We will have to face off against the very gods, battling immense hordes of enemies and gigantic bosses that will try to stop us and our allies in our tracks.
Scheduled for a release sometime in 2024, 33 Immortals has been announced for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC via the Epic Games Store. It will also be available day one on Xbox Game Pass. Bringing together 33 players simultaneously to achieve a common goal sounds challenging, so it remains to be seen if they can successfully deliver on their premise. However, on paper, the concept of 33 Immortals sounds like a potential game-changer in the future.
