In a move that strengthens the synergy between digital entertainment and the world of video games, Apple has launched a truly tempting offer for PlayStation 5 owners: up to six months of free access to the Apple Music streaming service. This promotion represents an interesting opportunity to seamlessly combine our favorite games and favorite music.

The best of gaming and the best of streaming

Taking advantage of this offer as PlayStation 5 or the new slimmer PlayStation 5 users is very easy. First, we log in to the PlayStation Network and download the Apple Music app. Once the app is installed, we simply follow a couple of on-screen instructions to accept the offer. It’s necessary, though, to have an Apple ID to access the service. If not, we can create one during the process.

Beyond the promotion itself, it’s interesting that Apple and PlayStation suggest using Apple Music to create personalized playlists that accompany our gaming sessions, whether it’s before, during, or after playing. It’s an integration of music and gaming that have always gone hand in hand.

It’s important to highlight that the Apple Music offer is exclusively available on the PlayStation 5 and must be redeemed through it. Furthermore, the promotion is aimed at new subscribers and those returning to the service after a while. As new subscribers, we’ll enjoy six months of Apple Music for free, while returning subscribers will receive five months without any cost.

The promotion will be available until November 15, 2024, providing a generous window for us to take advantage of it. This allows us to integrate our gaming platforms and music streaming into one place, an excellent way to get added value from our console and its new adaptive controller.
