Agatha: All Along is one of the last projects that Marvel Studios had pending before changing its approach and betting on other types of “safer” movies and series for its continuity. In fact, it is well known that the Agatha series itself changed during its course by removing the character of Jonathan Majors after his accusations of gender violence.

All this caused the perception of Agatha: All Along to be somewhat scattered, and no one was very sure that this spin-off of WandaVision would turn out well. However, with its first episode released on Disney Plus, it is clear that it has won over both critics and the general public.

A Surprise at the UCM

The series has achieved 79% positive reviews and 78% audience approval, a parity that is rarely seen in this type of production. And this is what some critics have to say about it:

“A delightful blend of witty humor, solid performances, and captivating nostalgia that makes it a perfect movie to watch before Halloween. The absolute magnetism of Kathryn Hahn will leave you spellbound” – Sophie Butcher, Empire

“The execution of the program could be stronger, but there is a lot of power, and even joy, in seeing Agatha burst into the world as the witch she is” – Liz Shannon Miller, Consequence

“For now, Agatha All Along doesn’t excite me. But I still hope that this coven will enchant me to make the show more interesting” – Tania Lamb, Lolalambchops

“So far, I am pleasantly surprised and really hope the show continues to be a small and fun witchy adventure. Hahn, Plaza, and the rest of the cast are very entertaining, and the pieces are in place for a new story in the MCU” – Erik Kain, Forbes
