Epic Games has announced an exciting collaboration between Fortnite and the iconic animated series Adventure Time, which has maintained its popularity since its premiere in 2010. Perhaps this collaboration would have made more sense when the series was airing, but its characters are so beloved that it has been overlooked. The collaboration, which will launch tomorrow, will feature new in-game content, including four skins of iconic characters: Finn, Jake, Marceline, and Princess Bubblegum. These skins fit surprisingly well with the original proportions of the characters, which has excited fans.
Grab your friends and your skins and let’s go
Adventure Time fans can obtain each skin individually for 1500 V-Bucks, or purchase a bundle that includes all characters for 3800 V-Bucks, which will also offer some additional accessories. This offer is scheduled to arrive in the game’s store on Friday, April 11. In addition to the skins, players will be able to enjoy a variety of new items, as well as car stickers that are part of the new bundle.
Despite the fact that Adventure Time has been off the air for a few years, the collaboration with Fortnite has rekindled interest in the series, especially among gamers who appreciate its RPG style and clever storytelling. The adaptation of characters with unconventional proportions, such as Jake the Dog, generated expectations about how they would look in the Fortnite environment, but the images released so far have reassured fans, showing that they have remained true to the original designs.
In a world where collaborations between franchises are becoming increasingly common, Fortnite continues to prove itself as a leader in creating interactive experiences that celebrate pop culture. The arrival of these skins and additional items is expected to further encourage player participation in the popular battle royale title.
