Akira Toriyama passed away a few days ago, and since this happened, the world of anime and manga is in mourning. Eiichiro Oda has taken a break from publishing One Piece and, along with Masashi Kishimoto, has expressed their condolences in a very personal way. But before he left, Toriyama left us a gift that we will soon be able to see.

As we know, very soon we will be able to see the Sandland anime, which will come along with a video game that will tell the same story. Sandland is a manga that was written and illustrated by Toriyama in the year 2000, but until now it had not been adapted. Well, to everyone’s surprise, Sandland will come along with an arc created 100% by the author of Dragon Ball, which has not been released until now.

Toriyama’s latest story will be in Sandland

This story arc is titled Forest Land, and it is an exclusive story by Akira Toriyama for the anime and the video game. Thanks to this, the protagonists Beelzebub, Rao, and Thief will arrive at this new land called Forest Land, which is ruled by a fierce army that opposes Sand Land and will go against the protagonists.

With this arc, we will be able to see more of Beelzebub and the original story that was published in 2000. But, beyond whether it is an arc that lives up to the story or simply becomes another filler to make both the anime and the video game longer, the beautiful thing here is that it is Toriyama’s last original story to come to light.

In this way, with Sandland we will be able to say goodbye properly to the sensei: with a story full of adventures, action and above all humor in which he printed his last traces of creativity. We will be waiting to see more about Toriyama’s latest work.
