Almost a year ago it was announced that Bruce Willis, the mythical actor of Die Hard and Pulp Fiction, is retiring from acting after suffering from frontotemporal dementia (FTP), a disorder that affects the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain and causes memory loss, mood swings or lack of judgment.

This news came as a cold shower to all of Hollywood, and the actor is currently paying for treatment to recover, even having had to sell some of his properties to do so. But before his retirement, Willis has not stopped acting, and we have just received the trailer of what will be his last film -unless a miracle happens-: Assassin.

What is Assassin about?

Assassin is a science fiction film directed by Jesse Atlas that places us in a near future in which there is a microchip that allows someone’s mind to occupy the body of another person. Thus, after the death of an agent (Willis), his wife occupies his body to bring his killer to justice.

The film has other interesting actors in its cast, such as Nomzamo Mbatha, who appears in The King of Zamunda, Dominic Purcell from Prison Break and Mustafa Shakir, who appeared in the ill-fated Netflix adaptation of Cowboy Bebop.

Assassin is a low-budget film that was released on March 31 in only a few theaters in the United States. However, the film has received terrible reviews: it has a 0% on Rotten Tomatoes and doesn’t seem to have convinced audiences either.

Thus, it doesn’t look like Bruce Willis’ farewell to cinema is going to be very memorable. But we have so many good titles of the action hero that we will always keep a good memory of his wonderful performances over the years.
