This weekend is historic due to the release of two major films that have won over both critics and audiences: “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer.” While the first film is a blockbuster about the Mattel doll starring Margot Robbie, the second is a biopic about Robert Oppenheimer, the inventor of the nuclear bomb.

For months, we have been gearing up for this cinematic phenomenon with memes of all kinds, and even a title has been coined for this double release: Barbenheimer. But what very few of us expected was that this unique fusion would receive a trailer created by Artificial Intelligence, as if it were a completely new standalone film. Check out the video inside.

What if Barbie was the creator of the nuclear bomb? That’s Barbenheimer

Created by Curious Refuge, the production company known as the first studio to make films using Artificial Intelligence, the trailer presents a truly curious story: instead of Oppenheimer being the one to create the bomb, the United States Government chooses someone else for the task, Barbie.

In the trailer, the choice is well justified as Barbie embodies multiple roles, from a doctor to a scientist, and even an Olympic medalist. So, Barbie gets to work with Ken, who doesn’t contribute much but is there by her side, laughing along.

While it’s still evident that this video is made by AI, it’s incredible to witness how rapidly this technology is advancing. It won’t be long before we see complete movies produced using these techniques, much to the dismay of strike protesters.
