Just like the new iPad Air and iPad Pro and the Apple Pencil 3, the Beats Solo 4 are just around the corner, apparently, and furthermore, almost all the specifications of these headphones have been leaked. According to information obtained by 9to5Mac from reliable sources, the Beats Solo 4 promise to be a very significant upgrade in several key aspects, while maintaining the same price as their 2016 predecessors. Let’s see what we know.

A top-to-bottom renovation with a very attractive price

One of the advancements that the Beats Solo 4 will bring, according to rumors, is the improvement in spatial audio experience with support for dynamic head tracking. The sound quality will also receive a significant improvement thanks to the updated drivers and rebalanced acoustics. The new headphones will feature custom 40mm transducers that promise to offer us a much superior clarity and sound range compared to the current Solo 3.

The headphones will also make the switch to USB-C for charging and high-resolution lossless audio. For audio purists, it is important to note that this generation will still retain the 3.5mm audio port for lossless audio. A port that also allows us to use the headphones even when they don’t have battery.

Something unlikely, it must be said, as the Beats Solo 4 will offer an additional 10 hours of battery life compared to the Solo 3, reaching a total of 50 hours. In addition, the Fast Fuel technology will allow us up to 5 hours of wireless playback with just 10 minutes of charging, ideal for those moments when we need to quickly charge the battery.

According to 9to5Mac, Apple has also redesigned the ear cushions to improve comfort. Thanks to what Apple has called UltraPlush, the headphone support will be more comfortable than ever and will allow the use of headphones all day long. In addition to the new case, which we see in the image below, the Solo 4 will offer support for one-touch pairing with Android devices and the ability to locate them through the Find My app on Apple devices.

To finish the review, the headphones will have support for Bluetooth 5.3, better call quality thanks to the beamforming microphones that use algorithms for greater voice clarity, and a foldable design that weighs only 217 grams.

Despite all these improvements, the Beats Solo 4 will maintain the price of $199.99, the same as the Beats Solo 3, according to the information published by 9to5mac. Nevertheless, these are very interesting headphones and a great update of one of the most popular Beats models. As for the release date, the publication states that it is scheduled for May 2nd, so we will have to stay tuned.
