Developers like Activision don’t like this at all. That’s why they fight tooth and nail to eliminate any kind of tool that provides unfair advantages. This is what happened with Interwbz, one of the most famous cheat providers for Call of Duty. The website has announced its closure after receiving a legal notification, which although it doesn’t mention who made it, it is suspected that it could have been Activision.

A well-known member of the Call of Duty community, CharlieIntel, has published the Interwbz statement on X,

As expected, many Call of Duty players were delighted with the news. The use of cheating programs had become a big problem for Activision’s game and excessively affected the matches. Just last February, the company expelled 6,000 cheaters from Call of Duty in a four-day period, according to Insider Gaming.
