Claude, the AI platform developed by Anthropic, has just introduced a new feature that transforms how we create interactive tools, no programming skills required. With this update, users can now move beyond static outputs like text or code and begin embedding AI-powered functions directly into their creations.
A new kind of artifact experience
The latest update gives users a dedicated Artifacts space in the Claude sidebar, where they can build, store and interact with their tools. These artifacts are now more than just saved outputs—they’re smart, dynamic, and fully reusable. You can prompt Claude to build apps like flashcard systems, spreadsheet analyzers or even simple games, all within the same workspace.
What makes this upgrade especially powerful is the ability to generate and interact with content on the fly. A single prompt like “Build me a flashcard app” will produce a tool you can continuously update, making it far more versatile than one-off outputs.
Accessible and shareable for everyone
Claude’s new features are available to all users, including those on the free tier, and can be accessed via desktop or mobile. Artifacts can be shared using simple links—no API keys or fees required—making it incredibly easy to distribute and collaborate on AI-powered tools.
Anthropic reports that users have already created over 500 million artifacts, ranging from interactive fiction to custom data tools. With Claude’s memory features integrated, the system can learn your preferences and adapt tools based on how you use them over time.
Claude is now closer than ever to being a true adaptive assistant, capable of turning simple ideas into fully functional apps in just a few lines of conversation.
