Breaking Bad is no longer here nor is it expected. The iconic AMC series concluded in 2013 after 5 seasons that made television history, leaving behind a legacy that was materialized in the spin-off Better Call Saul and dozens of other shows that tried to match its quality and themes.

However, from time to time, Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul slip back into the roles of the iconic characters from this series, as seen in the movie El Camino and the recent Super Bowl, where they reminisced about the first episode of Breaking Bad. But would Cranston return to play Walter White again?

It would have to be an incredible story

After previously stating that he would not reprise his iconic character, Bryan Cranston has revealed in an interview with Awards Radar that he would now consider returning to the role. However, he has set a high bar that must be met for him to step back into Walter White’s shoes. And this is his major condition:

“I would never underestimate Vince Gilligan. On April 3rd, I remembered that it has been 10 years since our last day of shooting Breaking Bad… it’s been 10 years. So, when I tearfully said goodbye to everyone, I thought that was it. But then El Camino came along, and I thought, ‘Oh, I guess I’m going to be Walter White again.’ And then Better Call Saul came along: ‘Oh, I guess I’m going to appear there too…’. And then the Pop Corners announcement…

So, it would be foolish for me to say something like, ‘Yeah, we’re done.’ I’d rather leave it open-ended because I know Vince wouldn’t want to do something that we would dislike. He doesn’t need to do anything for money, and neither do I, so let’s honor that. But if he suddenly wakes up from a dream and says, ‘Oh, my God,’ and tells me about it, and I have that reaction… everything could change. But I don’t think it’s going to happen.”
