Disney Plus is gaining momentum again after a few setbacks in the last year. While the Marvel Cinematic Universe series don’t have the same support as before and the Star Wars ones are also losing some steam, original productions like Percy Jackson and the Olympians are giving the platform a breather after a busy 2023.

Now, to continue expanding its catalog of successes, it is preparing a completely Spanish series that, however, wants to become a global hit. We still don’t know what its title will be, but we do know who will be the protagonist of this series: Álex González. The actor famous for El Príncipe joins the producer César Bénitez, who brought him to stardom at that time, to carry out this new fiction.

A series of adventures in the style of Indiana Jones or The Jewel of the Nile

As explained by Vertele, González is working on this project that he himself has defined as “a romantic action comedy, in the style of Indiana Jones or Romancing the Stone”. Undoubtedly, these are words that make us bite our nails in anticipation of what we are about to see. Adventure continues to be the logical destination for Disney Plus, and this new fiction can join many others that follow the same path.

González will also serve as a co-producer of the series, in addition to being its protagonist, and the production company behind it is Plano a Plano. The production company of César Benítez and the actor have already worked together on both El Príncipe and Toy Boy, so this will be a third collaboration of a formula that has already proven to be a success. Filming will begin in March.
