I don’t think it comes as a surprise to anyone that, after the mega-success of ‘Hades’ in 2020, Supergiant Games was going to get to work on its sequel as soon as possible. And that’s exactly what they did: just yesterday on Twitter they announced that they were already going to start with the technical tests as a previous step before launching it in early access. Of course, the die-hard fans have already positioned themselves to be the chosen ones for glory.

Actually, ‘Hades 2’ doesn’t fool anyone: it will be another action roguelike adventure inspired by Greek mythology in which you will basically improve little by little while dying over and over again. How can such a frustrating game be so devilishly entertaining? There will be a change, and not a small one: instead of Zagreus, this sequel will introduce the Princess of the Underworld, a nameless character who will have to defeat the forces of the Titan of Time.
Black magic and sorcery in addition to weapons and devilish rhythm? Please and thank you. The path is quite clear from now on: first a technical test with the fans to catch bugs ahead of time. After fixing them, the early access version. And after implementing the feedback, the proper release and – I suppose – the collection of awards wherever it goes. There is no doubt that it will earn them.
