Reports indicate that even certified installers are recommending standard roofs combined with solar panels as a more cost-effective and practical solution for homeowners.

As a result, the solar roof has transitioned from a game-changer in the renewable energy market to a niche, premium product contributing minimally to Tesla’s energy revenue.

Despite the ongoing installations from third-party contractors, public attention regarding the solar roof has waned. This positions Tesla’s original vision as a distant aspiration rather than an attainable reality.
