Excitement for Xpeng G6: 5,000 Orders in Just Seven Minutes After Launch

The 2025 Xpeng G6 all-electric SUV has received an extensive upgrade, featuring 81 new improvements and enhancements designed to solidify its position in the competitive electric vehicle market.

Among the standout features is a groundbreaking “bulletproof” ultra-fast 5C charging system, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in just 12 minutes.

This innovation is complemented by a starting price of 176,800 yuan (approximately $27,620), nearly 11% lower than the previous year’s model, making the G6 an appealing choice for budget-conscious consumers.

The launch of the G6 was met with remarkable enthusiasm

Equipped with Xpeng’s Turing AI intelligent driving system, the G6 seeks to challenge established players like Tesla and Ford.

The advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) is powered by a 40-core processor that offers superior processing capabilities, potentially supporting Level 4 autonomous driving in the future. Xpeng claims that the Turing chip can deliver 33 times more bandwidth and 12 times faster camera image processing than its competitors, promising enhanced safety and advanced self-driving capabilities.

In terms of performance, the G6 boasts impressive range options, with models offering up to 625 kilometers (approximately 275 miles) based on the China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle. An additional version increases the range to 725 kilometers. The vehicles’ AI batteries also feature notable resilience, designed to withstand extreme temperatures and significant collision forces.

The launch of the G6 was met with remarkable enthusiasm, as 5,000 firm orders were recorded within the first seven minutes of availability, indicating a robust demand for the latest model.

As the electric vehicle landscape continues to evolve, Xpeng’s advancements highlight the growing competition and innovation stemming from Chinese automakers, which are rapidly setting new standards in performance, technology, and pricing in the EV market.
