Many players are eagerly awaiting the release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the sequel to Final Fantasy VII Remake. Undoubtedly, it is one of the most important releases of this 2024, which will be available on February 29th.
And yes, there was no trace of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth in the past State of Play. There was a good reason: Sony will hold an event exclusively to talk about Square Enix’s title on February 7th starting at 00:30, Spanish time.
Its release is getting closer and that has caused us to already have the first leaks. The latest one has to do with the space that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will occupy on our PlayStation 5: a “modest” 145 GB.
This figure has surprised many within the community, especially if we compare it to other similar titles, such as Cyberpunk 2077. The RPG developed by CD Projekt takes up only 70 GB on our console. The size of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is comparable to other games like the also massive Red Dead Redemption II. If true, Rebirth will be one of the heaviest games that Sony’s console has received to date.
PlayStation Game Size, the account that has revealed this information, has also indicated that the pre-load date for Rebirth will be on February 27th, two days before its official release.
