For many, it’s the series that introduced them to horror. It wasn’t very scary, but when you’re a child, a scary production can become material for goosebumps. Quite literally.

The 10-episode series is a reboot of the iconic ’90s franchise, beloved by many, but this time it follows a group of five teenagers who embark on a twisted investigation to uncover the truth behind the tragic death of a teenager named Harold Biddle three decades earlier.

The final episode showed the group of teenagers returning from their trip to Seattle only to discover that their loved ones and the entire Port Lawrence are in grave danger from a new evil that has just taken over the city. This leaves fans wondering if there could be more to explore in the series.

Will there be a second season of Goosebumps?

For now, Disney Plus and Hulu haven’t renewed the series for a second season. Considering the series just reached its conclusion, it might take some time before any news about the fate of Goosebumps is revealed.

However, we do know that the series producer, Conor Welch, envisions a future for the show, one that could mean Goosebumps might continue for a long time… at least for one more season.

According to Welch’s statement to Comicbook, “Our hope is to follow this group of kids and adults for many, many more seasons and many, many more episodes. Because we have all the canon books at our disposal, and there’s so much more to delve into.”

As for the potential release date of a second season of Goosebumps, if there is one, it’s currently unknown.

The series Goosebumps was initially announced in 2020, signaling the development of a live-action reboot. However, it wasn’t until February 2022 that it was reported Disney Plus had acquired the series.

Filming for the first season commenced in October 2022 and lasted until February 2023. Of course, the first season premiered on Disney Plus in October 2023. But details about this second season remain relatively scarce.
