Yellowjackets is one of the series that is making a big impact in the United States. The series, which can be watched in Spain through Movistar+, has more than enough reasons to be a trend at the moment, and its second season is proving to be wilder, more addictive, and filled with more surprising twists than the previous one.
Now, the series is about to reach its finale. The second season is coming to a close, and Showtime, the production company responsible for its creation, has released a trailer revealing what we can expect in episode 2×09. In this episode, we will finally see the conclusion of this batch of episodes that have captivated the entire United States.
A wild and bloody ending
From what we can see in the trailer, in Yellowjackets 2×09, we will witness a significant conclusion to the events that have unfolded throughout the season. The penultimate episode brought the characters to a breaking point, with Javi meeting his demise in the 90s storyline, and Lottie trying to convince the survivors that a sacrifice is needed in the present.
In the trailer, we see the Yellowjackets carrying Javi’s body. Misty tells Lottie that she initiated the group on this path and now she can’t make them feel guilty about it. Finally, in the present, we see Lottie and the other survivors proceeding with the sacrifice ritual, even though Natalie seems to disagree. Meanwhile, Elijah Wood’s character, Walter Tattersall, introduces himself to a bewildered Jeff and offers to help him take care of Adam Martin’s body.

Javi’s death will be one of the most significant turning points in the entire series, as it affects both the past and present of the protagonists. In the past, the team had only resorted to cannibalism with Jackie’s corpse. However, Jackie had been dead for a long time and they could barely consume her charred remains.
Sacrificing and consuming Javi is seen as something completely different, and it may shape the course of a possible Season 3. We will see what ultimately happens to the Yellowjackets’ protagonists or if there will be a Deus Ex Machina that resolves their situation. But for now, it appears that everything is moving forward.
