Good news for The Sims 4 fans. The famous simulation game will receive a new expansion pack called “For Rent.” Thanks to it, EA gives us the opportunity to traumatize our sims through the wonderful experience of renting.
The Sims For Rent welcomes us to play as homeowners or tenants. Any Build Mode enthusiast can put their skills into practice to create apartments, duplexes, and much more. Additionally, the new residential complexes will become the central point of neighborhood dramas: we’ll have nosy, noisy, friendly, good-looking tenants… you decide.
The new neighborhood, Tomarang, is inspired by Southeast Asian culture. To recreate it as accurately as possible, the development team collaborated with Jason Chu, an Asian-American rapper. Tomarang is a comprehensive place that blends urban vibes with botanical retreats and even a night market.
Manage the residential complexes
Alongside the pack, we will also see a new type of lot. This will allow us to build multiple residences where multiple families can live simultaneously. Your Sims can become owners of a lot and generate income from the properties you have acquired. However, don’t overdo it with your tenants; in Se Alquila, tenants can start a rebellion against the landlord if they do not take care of the homes. Not taking care of the houses can cause mold to grow and our Sims to end up infected by a type of fungus (cordyceps, is that you?).
As if that weren’t enough, the novelties don’t just focus on real estate. Se Alquila adds four new aspirations (secret seeker, five-star landlord, Tomarang’s font of knowledge, impeccable tenant), five personality traits (nosy, generous, ridiculous, townie, or wise), and a new fear, eviction.
Sims 4 Se Alquila is available for pre-order and will be released on December 7th for Mac, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
